HISTORY OF INSTRUCTOR
David E. Correa is a 6th Dan Black Belt in Taekwondo. He has been practicing TKD since June 16, 1986. In his dojang, Master Correa is called Kwanjangnim-Head Master Instructor. Kwanjangnim has over 500 awards in the martial arts, over 400 of them being medals and trophies from tournaments. He is a multi-state and national champion. He sparred several world champions and always placed in every competition, even in local tournaments.
Kwanjangnim is the successor of E.F.A. (Eastern Fighting Arts). E.F.A. has been in existence since the 70’s. After many years of training in karate, TKD, Hapkido, Judo, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and several weapons, Master Correa was honored by his Instructor-Jose Jimenez to continue the proud tradition of E.F.A.
The school was basically handed down to him. Hundreds of black belts from E.F.A. understand what type of honor this can be. Master Correa-Kwanjangnim is no longer interested in fighting amateur tournaments for medals or trophies but is now training for a professional career in MMA (mix martial arts). Although, he aspires for his students to compete in local, state, and national levels. Even hoping his children or students one day make it to the Olympics in his most cherished art of Taekwondo.
